far too much
carbon dioxide
With SkyZero, we can capture more than 400,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide each year and be part of the climate solution.
This is our history towards carbon capture. Each moment along the way marks a milestone — a reflection of how far we’ve come and what still lies ahead.
In 2019 Sysav began exploring technical and climate strategies to reduce emissions from waste incineration, initiating pre studies on carbon capture.
In 2021, we set a goal of achieving net-zero climate impact by 2030 and identified CCUS as a crucial measure to reach that target.
Sysav received support from the Swedish Energy Agency to further investigate the potential for Carbon Capture and Storage, launching a feasibility study focused on technical methods, economic viability, and legal aspects.
Sysav’s Board of Directors and owners decided to continue the project, aiming for investment decision 2027
Focus on developing the legal, environmental, and financial conditions required to enable an investment decision in 2027.
